Wild Chive Lodge is only a short walk down to Budle Bay, part of the Lindisfarne National Nature Reserve and popular with bird watchers. Look across the bay and you can see The Holy Island of Lindisfarne.

We are only a short drive into the picturesque village of Bamburgh, with the magnificent castle perched on teh rocks, overlooking the beautiful unspoilt sandy beach. Great for watersports, rock-pooling or taking a dip in the sea. There is a good selection of places to eat, local butchers famous for the Bamburgh ‘Bangers’. Enjoy the beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches, take a net and go rock pooling, or take a dip in the sea.

Further afield is the busy fishing town of Seahouses offering boat trips to the Farne Islands. Also you have to try the wonderful fish and chips or an ice cream down by the harbour.

The market town of Alnwick, to the south, has a wonderful ‘lived in Castle’ and the Alnwick Garden has one of the largest Tree Houses and a Poison Garden too.
